“Out On A Limb- Architects Take A Bough”

May 26th, 2011

According to Vitruvius, the Roman scholar who authored De architectura, architecture is man’s imitation of the nests, lairs, and hives animals build for themselves.  He also famously observed that architecture must have commodity,
firmness and delight.

What would he think of these tree house creations?

Reminiscent of the Swiss Family Robinson homestead/treehouse
with a lot of coolness thrown in….. six designers and architects
have created 6 AMAZING tree houses.

If you can’t take the trip to see them in person, here
is a quick look.
