Be prepared to be amazed.

I first became aware of Ann as an artist
by watching- Bravo’s TV Show- “9 by Design”
and seeing her art used in some of their projects.
I love how she uses all sorts of materials to put together
a special piece of art.

In this installation she uses coconut husks on a wood frame
to create the horses.

Check out Anne’s website-anncarrington to see more wonderful art.

I am going to try this post again.
My video didn’t show up, so here it is one more time.

This amazing Renaissance sculpture was created between
1501 and 1504.  It is 17 feet high and is in the
Accademia Gallery in Florence, Italy.
AND…..I took the video.

The statue represents the Biblical hero, David.  Originally it was commissioned as one of a series of statues to be place along the roofline of the Florence Cathedral.
Instead it was placed outside in Palazzo della Signoria in 1504.  In 1873 it was moved inside the Accademia Gallery and a replica was put in its place outside.
